Arizona Coyotes defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson has left Tuesday’s game against the San Jose Sharks and will not return after suffering an upper-body injury.

Ekman-Larsson is arguably Arizona’s most valuable player, leading the team in time on ice (24:41) and is fourth in points with five goals and five assists.

The 25-year-old is in the fourth year of a six-year, $33-million contract.
