Coyotes trade Maxim Letunov to Sharks for picks

Arizona Coyotes GM John Chayka joins Hockey Central at Noon to discuss the goals and objectives of the club and his relationship with head coach Dave Tippett.

The Arizona Coyotes have traded prospect Maxim Letunov and a 2017 sixth-round pick to the San Jose Sharks for a fourth-round pick in 2016 and a third-round pick in 2017.

Letunov was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the second round (52nd overall), of the 2014 NHL Draft. He was traded to the Coyotes for Zbynek Michalek at the 2015 trade deadline.

The Russian forward spent the last season at the University of Connecticut where he led the Huskies in goals (16) assists (24) and points while playing in 36 games.

The 2016 NHL Draft is Friday night.
