Coyotes trade No. 35 overall pick to Flyers for three selections

Arizona use their first round pick to take defencmen from the QMJHL, Charlottetown Islanders, Pierre-Olivier Joseph at number 23.

The Arizona Coyotes traded the 35th-overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday in exchange for a trio of selections.

With the No. 35 pick, the Flyers selected six-foot-six winger Isaac Ratcliffe from the OHL’s Guelph Storm. The Coyotes selected Swedish defenceman Filip Westerlund with the 44th pick.

The trade is just the latest in a flurry of deals for Arizona over the last couple of days after the Coyotes acquired Niklas Hjalmarsson, Derek Stepan and Antti Rannta in two separate trades on Friday.
