The New Jersey Devils acquired veteran forward Steve Sullivan from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick 2014.

Sullivan, who will become a unrestricted free agent on July 5, has five goals and seven assists in 33 games with the Coyotes this season.

He has spent time with the Devils, Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks, and Toronto Maple Leafs over his career.

In 1,002 career games, Sullivan has amassed 288 goals, 454 assists, and 583 penalty minutes.

Sullivan was originally selected by the Devils in the ninth round of the 1994 NHL Draft before he was shipped to the Leafs in a deal that brought New Jersey Doug Gilmour.
