Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson will return to the crease for Monday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Anderson has missed the last two games the Senators have played to help support his wife Nicholle and her battle with throat cancer.
His most recent hiatus lined up with the start of Nicholle’s chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
During the five total games Anderson has missed to be with this wife this season, the team has gone 2-2-1 including a 2-0 shutout of the Florida Panthers with Mike Condon in net on Saturday.
In 18 games this season, Anderson is 12-5-1 with a .930 save percentage and 2.20 goals-against average.
