The Dallas Stars placed goaltender Kari Lehtonen on injured reserve Sunday due to a lower body injury.

Lehtonen was hurt on Feb. 15 against the Vancouver Canucks. The 29-year-old has played in 12 games for the Stars in 2013, recording a 7-2-1 record with a .934 save percentage and a 2.12 goals-against-average.
The Helsinki, Finland native posted career highs in save percentage (.922) and goals-against-average (2.33) in the 2011-12.
