Daniel Carcillo will have an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for cross-checking the Winnipeg Jets’ Mathieu Perreault.
The Blackhawks forward caught Perreault with a cross-check in the arm near the end of the second period of Chicago’s 4-2 loss to Winnipeg on Friday. Perreault didn’t return to play.
Sportnet’s Damien Cox reported Saturday that Perrault’s injury is believed to be a torn elbow ligament. Jets coach Paul Maurice called the check “vicious.”
