Devils’ John Quenneville to make NHL debut vs. Blackhawks

Patrik Laine and Mark Scheifele each scored their 13th goals of the season and the Winnipeg Jets defeated the New Jersey Devils.

New Jersey Devils prospect John Quenneville is set to make his NHL debut on Thursday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The 20-year-old’s debut comes against his second cousin in Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville.

John was drafted with the 30th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Draft by the New Jersey and has spent this season playing for the AHL’s Albany Devils.

The young forward currently sits 8th in AHL scoring with 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 19 games.

He’ll make his debut Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. ET.
