Coyotes’ Doan, players losing their NHL pride reports that Adirondack Phantoms captain Ben Holmstrom will miss four to six months after undergoing surgery to reconstruct his ACL, according to Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren.

The timeline for recovery effectively ends the season for the 25-year-old center, who injured his knee on Dec. 8 against the Syracuse Crunch.

Holmstrom played in five games with the Flyers during the 2011-12 season, and would have been one of the primary call-up options for the team if not for the lockout.
