Don Cherry rips Leafs for treatment of Kadri

It doesn’t seem Don Cherry is too pleased with the way the Toronto Maple Leafs are handling their players lately.

The Canadian hockey icon went on somewhat of a rant on Twitter about the treatment of prospect Nazem Kadri by the Maple Leafs organization.

Kadri had five goals and two assists in 21 NHL games last season. He had 18 goals and 22 assists with the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies last season.

Kulemin had seven goals and 21 assists with the Maple Leafs last season, and signed a two-year deal worth US$5.6 million on July 20.

It was only three weeks ago that Cherry ripped former Leafs head coach Ron Wilson’s handling of goaltender James Reimer last season. He said the situation was a “disaster” and that Wilson was trying to destroy his number one goaltender.
