Ducks top Sharks on Perry’s OT goal to conclude pre-season

Watch as a referee gets caught in the middle of a San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks preseason line brawl.

Corey Perry scored unassisted at 1:13 of overtime to give the Anaheim Ducks a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Jakob Silfverberg scored twice for the Ducks, including the tying goal at 10:18 mark of the third period, and Jonathan Bernier made 30 saves. Joonas Donskoi had a goal and an assist for the Sharks, David Schlemko added a goal, and Aaron Dell stopped 22 shots.

The game saw the Pacific Division rivals engage in a line brawl late in the first period after Anaheim centre Andrew Cogliano knocked down San Jose defenceman Dylan DeMelo with a shoulder check to the body. Sharks defenceman Dan Kelly and Ducks centre Ryan Kesler were assessed game misconducts.
