With the 2016 NHL Trade Deadline upon us, general managers will be working the phones like a bunch of stressed out stockbrokers.
Some teams are looking for one piece to put them over the top or to help them make the playoffs, while others – including most of the Canadian teams – are looking to sell off assets as they peer towards next season.
Here is a look at each team’s cap space and some of the assets they can potentially move.

*Cap space on deadline day is an estimate of the annual cap hit a team can add on the day of the 2016 NHL Trade Deadline (Feb. 29, 2016). It calculates the remaining number of days in the NHL season as of this date and uses this in conjunction with a team’s projected cap space and available LTIR to determine the projected total annual cap hit that can be added on deadline day.
