The Toronto Maple Leafs have invited unrestricted free agent goaltender Cal Heeter to camp this week, according to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.

Heeter, 25, was undrafted, but played for four years at Ohio State of the NCAA before signing a two-year entry level deal with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2012.

He made just one appearance in his time with Philadelphia in the 2013/14 season, a 6-5 shootout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Flyers chose to not make a qualifying offer, so Heeter became a free agent on July 1st.
