Flames’ Cammalleri out with upper-body injury

Michael Cammalleri will miss Tuesday’s game, a game he most likely circled on his calendar.

The Calgary Flames forward suffered an upper-body injury that will keep him out of the lineup against his former team the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

Though it hasn’t been confirmed, it is suspected that Cammalleri’s injury came in Calgary’s 3-2 shootout loss against the Dallas Stars Sunday night.

The Canadiens shipped Cammalleri to Calgary on Jan. 12, one day after Cammalleri questioned the Canadiens’ attitude in the dressing room after a loss to the St. Louis Blues, and said the team played with a losing mentality.

The Richmond Hill, Ont., native has 33 points in 59 games split between the Canadiens and Flames.
