Flames claim Chris Stewart off waivers from Wild

Calgary Flames assistant GM Craig Conroy joined Roger Millions to talk about the team claiming Chris Stewart and what he can bring to the team.

The Calgary Flames have claimed veteran forward Chris Stewart off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.

Stewart has played in 47 games this season with the Wild, registering nine goals and four assists. He spent most of the year on Minnesota’s fourth line and was scratched 12 times since Jan. 4.

The 30-year-old has also suited up for the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks over his career.

Calgary currently owns the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
