Calgary Flames forward Kris Versteeg is month-to-month with a hip injury, the team announced on Friday.

The Flames placed Versteeg on injured reserve on Nov. 29 after the 31-year-old missed a pair of games due to his lower-body injury. He has recorded three goals and five assists through 22 games in 2017-18.

Versteeg joined the Flames ahead of the 2016-17 season, racking up 15 goals and 37 points in 69 games. The Lethbridge, Alta., native added a goal and four points in four playoff games.
