The Calgary Flames switched up their backup goaltending situation, sending veteran Eddie Lack to the AHL while recalling European prospect David Rittich.

Lack cleared waivers on Friday, while the Los Angeles Kings placed veteran forward Brooks Laich on waivers, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

Lack, who shouldered a hefty workload during previous stints in Vancouver and Carolina, has appeared in just four games for Calgary this season, allowing 12 goals in that span while recording just one victory. Laich posted one point, an assist, through 12 games with the Kings this season.

Elsewhere in the league, forward Chris DiDomenico saw his NHL allegiance shift, as the former Ottawa Senators forward was claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

DiDomenico has three goals and six points to his name through 12 games in a Senators sweater in 2017-18.

Interestingly enough, the Senators claimed forward Gabriel Dumont off waivers from the Lightning on Wednesday.
