Mark Jankowski will make his NHL debut Monday night when the Calgary Flames wrap-up a six-game road trip against the New York Islanders.

Jankowski, 22, was drafted 21st overall by Calgary in the 2012 NHL Draft.

“I’m definitely pretty excited,” Jankowski told the team’s website. “A little nerves but I think that once I actually get on the ice, those will subside and I’ll realize it’s just hockey.”

The Hamilton native was recalled from the American Hockey League on Friday but hasn’t played in the Flames’s two games since.

The six-foot-four, 202 pound centre has three goals and nine assists in 13 games with the AHL’s Stockton Heat this year. Jankowski spent the last four years with Providence College of the NCAA and is in his first professional season.
