The Calgary Flames will be without top-line winger Micheal Ferland in the short-term, as the forward is currently sidelined with a lower-body injury, the club announced Saturday.

Forwards Tanner Glass and Freddie Hamilton drew into the Flames’ lineup against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, replacing the injured Ferland and veteran centre Matt Stajan.

Ferland has one goal through five appearances this season after posting a breakout 15-goal, 25-point effort in 2016-17.
