The Calgary Flames have inked goaltender David Rittich to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Saturday.

Rittich joined the Flames organization as a free agent prior to the 2016-17 campaign, spending time previously with Czech club BK Mlada Boleslav. He suited up for 31 games for Calgary’s AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat, this past season, posting a save percentage of .924 and a goals-against average of 2.27.

The 24-year-old also appeared in one game at the NHL level – his only career appearance in the big leagues – during which he made nine saves and allowed one goal in 20 minutes of play.
