Flyers forward Giroux will not play Saturday

Flyers captain Claude Giroux was carried off the ice after taking Justin Faulk's skate blade to the back of the leg.

Claude Giroux managed to avoid serious injury on Friday night versus the Carolina Hurricanes after he suffered a cut to his leg from Justin Faulk’s skate.

The Flyers declared Giroux probable for Saturday night’s game against the New Jersey Devils, but that did not turn out to be the case.

Giroux was not on the ice for pre-game warmups and the forward will not play against the Devils.
