Flyers’ Radko Gudas waives right to in-person hearing

Radko Gudas got kicked out of the game after coming down hard on Mathieu Perreault with his stick right to the side of the head.

Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Radko Gudas has waived his right to an in-person hearing with the NHL’s department of player safety, and will have a phone hearing on Sunday.

Gudas will have to answer for a reckless slash to the back of Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault‘s head he made on Thursday.

By offering an in-person hearing, the DoPS can suspend Gudas for more than five games.

The 27-year-old won’t be able to play until his hearing has concluded, guaranteeing he will miss Saturday’s game against the Calgary Flames.
