Remember when sweaty dudes quenching their thirst after some pickup basketball passed for suitable television commercial?
The ad wizards at Gatorade unveiled sport’s latest cool commercial Monday night during the world junior championship.
On Aug. 18, Cruisers sledge hockey, based in Mississauga, Ont., volunteered to take part in a documentary for the sports beverage.
Gatorade then surprised the sledge players with appearances by NHL stars Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Logan Couture and Ryan Miller.
Awesome stuff that sheds light on a wonderful -- and grueling -- version of the game:
Crosby on playing sledge hockey: "I was terrible. I was pretty bad, but they [the sledge hockey players] did their best to help."
