At 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds, Calgary Flames rookie Johnny Gaudreau is used to being the little guy on the ice.
That certainly wasn’t the case on Friday evening when he surprised a minor hockey team with a pre-practice visit.

The 21-year-old showed up in full Flames’ practice gear, took photos with many of the kids, and gave each member of the Atom Blackfoot Chiefs a Bauer hockey stick before hitting the ice with the team and participating in their practice.
Johnny Hockey isn’t the only big kid to surprise a team as part of Bauer’s #DifferenceMaker Giveaway Tour — Edmonton Oilers’ star Jordan Eberle surprised a St. Albert team earlier in the week.
