Golden Knights’ Malcolm Subban leaves game with lower-body injury

Vegas Golden Knights goalies are dropping like flies, Malcolm Subban goes down after stretching to make a save in the third period against his teams game against the St. Louis Blues.

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Malcolm Subban left Saturday’s game in the third period with a lower-body injury.

The injury occurred when he stretched out to make a save against St. Louis Blues forward Jaden Schwartz.

Subban, 23, has been filling in as starter for the Golden Knights ever since Marc-Andre Fleury went on injured reserve with a concussion last week. He was claimed off waivers from the Boston Bruins before the start of the season and has a 2-0-0 record with Vegas so far.

Oscar Dansk came off the bench to replace Subban, marking his first appearance in an NHL game. The Golden Knights eventually won the game 3-2 in overtime.
