Wanna feel really old?
The Vegas Golden Knights have been having fun on Twitter as they prepare for their inaugural NHL season, and that means getting fans acquainted with their prospects and players.
Over the course of the past week, the club has released a short series of videos quizzing some of their young prospects on a selection of hit pop songs from the ’90s. The keyword here is young.
Among the prospects put to the test were draft picks Cody Glass, Nick Suzuki, Erik Brannstrom (all born in 1999), Nicolas Hague (1998), plus a few others born in the mid-1990s.
The playlist included hits from Hanson (“…Shania Twain?”), ‘N Sync (“Is this the Backstreet Boys?”), Smash Mouth (you know, the song from Shrek) and Guns N’ Roses (“Is this NHL 12, or something?”), many of which have been around longer than these kids.
They’re pretty funny. Watch them here:
Our prospects were born in the late 1990s, so forgive them if they're not too familiar with @HansonMusic pic.twitter.com/z8v5bDWxrt

.@NSYNC? @backstreetboys? To Golden Knights prospects, they're kind of the same thing pic.twitter.com/YVyjKcuF6E

Contrary to some of our prospects' opinions, @gunsnroses doesn't sound like @thebeatles,& "All-Star" originated from @smashmouth, not Shrek pic.twitter.com/H1i7R50XMh
