The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward Brendan Leipsic to a two-year contract, the team announced Saturday.
Leipsic was taken by Vegas in June’s NHL Expansion Draft from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 23-year-old was a restricted free agent, and is coming off a season in which he posted 18 goals and 51 points in 49 games with AHL Toronto.
He got a brief taste of NHL action in the 2015-16 season, scoring his first-career NHL goal and adding two assists in a six-game stint with the Leafs.
The Winnipeg native was drafted in the third round, 89th overall, in 2012 by the Nashville Predators.
