Scott Gomez reportedly participated in the San Jose Sharks morning skate in Calgary on Sunday ahead of the club’s game against the Flames.

The free agent forward first met with the team on Saturday in California to discuss the possibility of a contract.
Earlier this week the Montreal Canadiens bought out Gomez’ contract — which had a salary cap hit of $7.3 million through the 2013-14 season — and Gomez became a free agent after he cleared waivers.
It was reported that several teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders expressed interest in acquiring Gomez, but Gomez will instead reportedly elect to play in the Western Conference.
Gomez underachieved in Montreal and last season with the Canadiens he registered just 11 points in 38 games.
