Slava Fetisov: professional rapper.
That’s something we never thought we’d write.
Earlier this month, during the leadup to the IIHF World Hockey Championship, Russian pop group SOPRANO released a revamped version of “No Coward Plays Hockey,” the unofficial Soviet hockey anthem from 1968.
In addition to some slo-mo hockey celebrations and several wardrobe choices that we’re pretty sure aren’t up to regulation, the music video also features a cameo from none other than Russian hockey legend Slava Fetisov.
He breaks it down at around the 1:45 mark:
Russia won bronze at the tournament, so maybe we’ll see more performances from Fetisov in the future.
