Gotta See It: Leafs’ Bozak destroys net-cam

Toronto Maple Leafs centre Tyler Bozak destroys the net-cam and chases Mathieu Garon with this blast.

Gotta See It: The shot cost Mathieu Garon his night and cost the NHL roughly $83,333.33 (if we’re going by 2007’s prices).

Positioned smack in the slot Wednesday night at Air Canada Centre, Toronto Maple Leafs centreman Tyler Bozak leans into a one-timer and demolishes the in-net camera. The goal, Toronto’s third unanswered on the night, chases Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Garon (13 shots, three goals allowed) from the crease, his 3-8-0 record now looking just as shaky as the in-net television feed.

Bozak’s shattering shot, his eighth goal of the season, proved to be the game-winner, as the Leafs snapped their five-game losing streak and held on for a 4-2 victory.
