Is Danny Syvret the new Shea Weber?
Uh, in one aspect, we suppose.
Not unlike the stunt pulled by the Nashville Predators star in 2011, the Iowa Wild defenceman attempted to score on an empty net from the upper bowl of Wells Fargo Arena.
The 29-year-old Millgrove, Ont., native, now with the Minnesota Wild’s AHL affiliate, has bounced around between 13 different AHL and NHL clubs over the last 10 seasons.
His teammates told WhoTV.com about Syvret’s tricks with the puck.
“He’s got a wet blade and he’s still making the puck look like it’s Superglued to his stick,” says Wild forward Zack Mitchell. “It’s fun to watch.”
