“Ok, guys! Let’s play some street hockey!”
When P.K. Subban stops his SUV on your street and declares it’s time for some street hockey, you play.
That’s what happened on a street in Montreal’s Westmount neighbourhood on Sunday, and eight-year-old goaltender Jack was more than up to the challenge.
The young goalie — who his dad says is actually a natural goal-scorer — strapped on his pads for a quick shootout challenge with the Montreal Canadiens defenceman.
In the video captured by Jack’s dad, Aaron Fraser, Subban demonstrates a few of his signature one-timers, followed by what he calls an Alex Galchenyuk-inspired breakaway.
Subban got a few one-timers past the young goalie, but then Jack shut the door and stopped him cold on a few shots. (And we gotta say, his technique is pretty good!)
The video (above) not only displays some sweet shut-down saves from the kid, it also perfectly captures why Subban is a favourite among Habs fans.

“This says everything about what kind of a guy P.K. is,” said Fraser. “P.K. is not only the most talented defenceman in hockey, he also does it with a smile on his face. The kids can sense it and they eat it up!”
