He didn’t take as much of a risk as Tyler Seguin or drive the puck as far as Steven Stamkos, but Vancouver Canucks president of hockey operations Trevor Linden still made quite the impact on the golf course.
In the latest hockey-golf mashup clip, the player-turned-exec got mic’d up for Jake Milford Charity Invitational golf tournament to film for Canucks TV. The video starts with Linden cruising around the links with GM Jim Benning, critiquing the swings of his players.
But the money shot arrives at the 1:25 mark:
Concerned about pulling a groin, the prez takes a stick and fires a puck across the green at an elevated pane of glass.
The result? In Linden’s words: “A smash and a half.”
