Has early success vindicated Canadiens’, Oilers’ trades?

I try not to make a huge deal about the first two weeks of the season.

You know what I had no problem making a big deal out of? The Montreal Canadiens trading P.K. Subban and the Edmonton Oilers trading Taylor Hall.

And would you look at that? The Habs and Oilers sit first and second in the entire NHL. The hockey gods like to have fun, don’t they?

It’s still early but maybe it’s about time to start asking: were we too hard on the Canadiens and Oilers this past summer?

Here’s my video on the matter, as seen on Sportsnet’s Hockey Central.
