Are you like me? Do you enjoy seeing NHL players appear on major television comedy programs?
Henrik Lundqvist, star goaltender of the New York Rangers, dropped by Late Show with David Letterman Monday night as promotion for the upcoming NHL season kicked off in earnest.
In a lengthy feature interview, Letterman asked King Henrik about shootouts, his early desire to become a goaltender, and the pressure of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The host nicely described Lundqvist’s style thusly: “You look just like a crazy man swatting flies.”
A man blessed with a face for television, Lundqvist took Dave’s excitement in stride: “I love the game. It’s so intense, but that’s why I started playing it.”
