Henrik Sedin out Friday vs. Red Wings

Vancouver Canucks coach Willie Desjardins was in a rational mood when it came to discussing the Canucks' current slump and the prospects of losing Henrik Sedin for any amount of time.

In Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks forward Henrik Sedin sustained a lower-body injury and did not return.

Friday, the team announced he will not be in the lineup against the Detroit Red Wings.

Sedin, 35, has nine goals and 22 assists in 31 games this season.
