Highlight of the night: Price vs. Rask

There were a number of great plays (and misplays) around the NHL Thursday night, but the two best we’re picking in our head-to-head tonight pit the Boston Bruins against their rivals, the Montreal Canadiens.

Goalies Tuukka Rask and Carey Price both made save of the year candidates in their games, but which one was better? Have a look at the robberies below and vote on which one you thought was better.

First up is Price, who may have used a little luck to stone Martin St-Louis on the door step with an acrobatic shoulder save.

Meanwhile, the Bruins were taking on the Islanders on Long Island and Michael Grabner was sure he had scored his sixth goal of the season. Not so. Rask made one heck of a ridiculous stick save that you can’t fully appreciate until you see the overhead view. Wow.

An honourable mention goes to Henrik Lundqvist for his stop on Dale Weise. The reason it only qualifies for honourable mention status is because we’re pretty sure the puck crossed the line, even if the official game sheet doesn’t say so.
