The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Jonathan Toews was able to do some physical activity Wednesday instead of just resting and recuperating from suspected concussion symptoms.
But there’s still no timetable for his return to the lineup. Toews missed his fifth game in a row when the Hawks hosted the Toronto Maple Leafs at the United Center.
“We’ll see how he’s progressing,” coach Joel Quenneville said. “Today is no change from yesterday, so hopefully he can get going soon, and we can get him back on the ice.”
But Quenneville said Toews was able to participate in some off-ice workouts, including riding a stationary bike.
“He was doing a little bit of that today,” he said.
Toews, who also was involved in a one-car crash last Thursday, was last in the lineup Feb. 19 against the St. Louis Blues.
