Crosby trying to weigh all sides of lockout

The Nashville Tennessean relays that Predators goaltending coach Mitch Korn will host what he calls a “fireside chat” at Bridgestone Arena tonight from 6:15-8:15 p.m.

The event gives local coaches, goaltenders and parents a chance to pick his brain about the finer points of NHL netminding.

“It’s more interactive,” Korn said. “It’s really better to term it an informal discussion about the position — the histories, the current, the education, the style, the buzzwords and the skills — in a venue that allows me to cover a lot of topics and let the group dictate the direction it goes.”

Korn, who has been with the Predators since their first NHL season in 1998-99, said he started doing these events when he was the goaltending coach at Miami of Ohio.

They were so well received that he has continued to do them.

Those interested in attending can RSVP at nashvillepredators.com/goalienight.
