Hurricanes put ‘New Guy’ on Hillen’s locker

The Carolina Hurricanes didn’t have enough time to get a name plate for newly acquired Jack Hillen so they improvised.

It didn’t take the Carolina Hurricanes long to have some fun with newly acquired defenceman Jack Hillen.

Hillen, who was picked up from the Washington Capitals earlier on Saturday in a trade for defenceman Tim Gleason, had his name plate labelled ‘New Guy’ when he arrived with his new team.

Considering Carolina’s lack of success on the ice this year, it’s good to see they still have a sense a humour.

Hillen, 29, has no goals and five assists in 35 games this season.
