Injured Carey Price skates with Canadiens’ trainer

Welcome sign for Montreal Canadiens fans, as Carey Price, out since November 25th with a lower body injury, was back on the ice with head athletic therapist, Graham Rynbend, albeit without any goalie equipment.

BROSSARD, Que.,– Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price skated at the team’s practice facility with athletic therapist Graham Rynbend for 45 minutes Tuesday.

Price, who’s appeared in only 12 of Montreal’s 43 games this season, suffered a lower-body injury in the second period of the Canadiens’ 5-1 win over the New York Rangers on Nov. 25.

The Canadiens confirmed that Price was on the ice at the Bell Centre Monday, too.

Tuesday was his second day on the ice since suffering the injury.

The Canadiens originally announced Price would miss at least six weeks as of Nov. 30.

Canadiens coach Michel Therrien updated the media on Friday, Jan. 8, saying that Price would miss the rest of January.

The Canadiens have seven games to play before Feb. 1.
