‘Iron’ Mike Keenan erupted in anger at what he thought was a dive during a Friday night game between the KHL’s Metallurg MG and Lada.

Keenan, who’s in his second season as Metallurg’s bench boss, flew off the handles after Lada’s Denis Barantsev went hard into the boards on a check from behind delivered by Oskar Osala, which earned the Magnitogorsk forward a boarding penalty.

It appears Mr. Keenan thought Barantsev took a dive to draw a penalty, and he expressed his frustration thusly:

Keenan, who’s long been known for his fiery antics, led Metallurg to Gagarin Cup last season, his first in the KHL. Magnitogorsk is currently third in the league’s Eastern division.
