Florida Panthers goaltender James Reimer and his wife, April, welcomed a new addition to their family on Tuesday.
April tweeted their first family photo with baby Nevaeh Adelyn May in the early afternoon.
Amazingly, Reimer is expected to return to his team to back up Roberto Luongo as the Panthers host the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night.
Panthers writer George Richards initially reported that Reimer had left the team’s trip in Vancouver on Jan. 19 to be with his wife in Florida as she gave birth.
Reimer ended up making a surprise start for the Panthers last Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, making 32 saves for the win.
The couple announced they were expecting back in July 2016 with a simple but adorable photo.
While the Reimers didn’t share many details over the course of the last six months, April did post a couple of photos on Twitter during her pregnancy, in which she looked unfairly stunning.
(Seriously, not fair.)
The first-time parents shared their thanks to the entire Panthers organization through Reimer’s agent:
