Reimer starts as Maple Leafs visit Senators

NHL insider Craig Simpson tells Hockey Central at Noon why this edition of the ‘Battle of Ontario’ doesn't have the same hype.

James Reimer has historically owned the Ottawa Senators, which is one reason he will get the start in net for the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday as they visit their division rivals in another installment of the Battle of Ontario.

The 26-year-old stopped all 18 shots he faced against the Carolina Hurricanes in relief of Jonathan Bernier Monday. Reimer is 6-8-0 in 18 appearances this season, but has lost his last five starts dating back to Dec. 21.

In other Maple Leafs news, Leo Komarov won’t return to the lineup until after the all-star break. The forward has been ruled out of Wednesday’s game against the Senators as he deals with a shoulder injury.
