Jets assign defenceman Julian Melchiori to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets have assigned defenceman Julian Melchiori to the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.

Melchiori has appeared in four games with the Jets this season, and 31 for the Moose where he has two goals and four assists.

He was taken in the third round (87th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2010.

The 25-year-old has no points in 16 career NHL games.
