Jets’ Kane leaves game with lower-body injury

Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane left Thursday night’s opener with a lower-body injury.

Kane suffered the injury while colliding with teammate Mark Scheifele at the blue line and did not return to the game.

The 23-year-old played saw less than two minutes of ice time in Winnipeg’s game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Kane suffered multiple injuries last season and only appeared in 63 games.
