The Winnipeg Jets have re-assigned rookie Nic Petan to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

The 20-year-old has just one goal in 14 games so far this season and was averaging just 9:31 minutes of playing time a game.

Petan was drafted 43rd overall in the 2013 Entry Draft and has quickly developed into one of the game’s top prospects, scoring 89 points in his final season with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL.

The Jets have struggled lately, winning just one of their last seven games. They are currently second-last in the Western Conference’s Central Division at 9-9-2.
