Mark Scheifele talks about signing a contract extension with the Winnipeg Jets.

The Winnipeg Jets have signed 2015 first-round pick Jack Roslovic, the team announced Monday.

Roslovic, 19, was selected by Winnipeg with the 25th overall pick at last year’s draft, and spent the 2015-16 season in the NCAA with Miami University (Ohio), where he tallied 10 goals and 16 assists in 36 games.

The forward, a product of the U.S. National Development Program, will play next season in one of two places if he doesn’t make the Jets’ roster: in Manitoba with the AHL Moose, or London with the OHL’s Knights, who own his junior rights.

According to The Columbus Dispatch‘s Aaron Portzline, Roslovic will visit the Knights this week and is expected to sign on there for the 2016-17 season.
