Jonathan Drouin leaves game after taking big hit from de Haan

Watch as Calvin de Haan injures Jonathan Drouin with a hit as he’s leaning for the puck and is challenged to a fight by Ryan Callahan.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jonathan Drouin left Tuesday’s game after taking what looked like a hit to the head from New York Islanders defenceman Calvin de Haan.

Drouin leaned in to reach for a puck and de Haan’s shoulder made contact with the Tampa forward’s upper body. De Haan received a five minute major for interference.

Ryan Callahan followed up by dropping the gloves with de Haan.

The Lightning led the Islanders 6-0 at the end of the second period.
