Ducks’ Kesler, Fowler spoof ‘Between Two Ferns’

Between Two Zambonis title page. (NHL/YouTube)

The Anaheim Ducks took on pop culture’s Between Two Ferns with their own version aptly named Between Two Zambonis.

The original Funny or Die skit hosted by Zach Galifianakis has seen such celebrities as: Justin Bieber, U.S. President Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, Conan O’Brien, Will Ferrell, and Bradley Cooper to name a few.

In this iteration Ducks forward Ryan Kesler takes over the hosting gig and interviews teammate Cam Fowler. If there’s one thing Kesler has down it’s the sarcasm, and the I-don’t-care-about-you attitude that Galifianakis makes famous.

It includes gems such as:

RK: “On your Wiki page it compares you to Chris Pronger and Dion Phaneuf.”
CF: “Yeah”
RK: “Really? Those guys are like 12 inches taller than you and 50 pounds heavier than on you. Who wrote that? You, or your mom and dad?”

Here’s the full segment:

Well done, Anaheim Ducks. This one’s a keeper. Hopefully there’s more to come.

And if there’s one thing this version has on the original, it’s way easier to spell Kesler than Galifianakis (yes, I had to Google it.)
